As a user, I filter my time-sheet on one or more billing keys, then print with a sign-off box & logo
Rationale : This feature is useful for consultancy firms that require a sign-off of the consultants' work as a basis for invoicing. These consultants usually work for different customers at one moment in time. The timesheet for sign-off cannot show information of other customers. (billing keys).
A company logo and a sign-off box for the customer would make the time-sheet even more useful for consultancy work.145 votes -
Create a stopwatch function
Need an easy way for Tempo to start recording time when working on an issue and then stop based on user input to automatically record net time spent. Basically from an issue, start watch and then stop watch

Team Timesheet - planned % and multi project view
modifiy Team Timesheet view by:
- add the % of the planned hours
- add the possibility to choose 2 or more project and view the hours of only that specific projects (not all) in Team Timesheet view
- clicking a name in this view displays the data related to projects, it will be useful also report the percentages broken down by projects

Tempo 7.0 added the possibility to view planned progress on the People pages.

I need to be able to set hours per day individually for each day of the week.
Example:
Mon: 0 hours
Tue: 0 hours
Wed: 7.5 hours
Thu: 7.5 hours

Freshbooks integration + other ideas
Hi would be nice if Tempo could bill hours directly in Freshbooks !!
Also, here is some imporvements that we would like:
- Be able to manage clients hours bank. For example, if a Client has bought a 25 hours bank, we would like it to show on the Customer report with a status of how many hours left
- More options in the customer report: hide / show detailed worklog to show only total in issue. When not showing worked hours (only billed), do not show worked hours for worklogs ...40 votes -
Permission to see issues by project
Actually, with tempo, we are admin or not. I could be very nice, have permission by project. I mean that a project lead could see timesheet of all pepol as working on the project and could change log. Actually we can only setup an admin by user.

Ability to export a Timesheet (NOT just reports)
Reports are too verbose for what I need. The Timesheet view is nearly perfect. If I could export directly from Timesheet view, it would save me a lot of time.

As a Resource Manager I would like get reports on my team's planned/spent effort
Tempo operates with JIRA Groups, called "Teams". Each Resource manager in our company tracks his resources via these teams.
So, if would be great to be able to see next report on dashboard:
1) This report should be based on Team and on project/version/component
2) This report should be scalable (to display a week, a month, a quarter and a year duration)
3) This report should show next information per team member:
- planned effort
- spent effort per planned effort
- spent effort, where there were no planning at allso that resource manager could easily see how does… more

This is part of new reports in Tempo 6.3, we are however working on improvement that will released for Tempo 7

In JIRA keep track of total vs. spent hours in a project
Say we have 1000 hours budgeted for a project. As hours are logged against issues, keep track on hiow many hours are left. RIght now, there's no place in JIRA to indicate the 1000 hours.

Is there a way to setup a billing key as Non-Billable?
Some of the items we are looking to use Tempo for are support contract items thus not billable to customers. These are not "internal" items since they are per-customer. Is it possible to make the Billing Key or the Project entirely non-billable so users don't have that option exposed to them nor have to worry about it?

We are looking at this for upcoming version of Tempo

allow "Period 2" to be the length of a sprint (3 weeks)
There is a concept of Period 2 to be used for billing. That means that both Period1 and Period 2 have monthly boundaries. Can the length of the Period (Period 3?) be flexible so we can set the view to match our 3-week sprints?

Allow roles to be used as Tempo administrators
It would be interessting to reuse the roles of a project as tempo administrators.
That way, we could have a "Time Manager" role set for each project and only one settings in Tempo instead of several groups.16 votesstarted ·

Add gadget for displaying pie chart report representing billed hours by tempo categories/customers/accounts in period of time
It would be very useful for us to have configurable report available as jira gadget representing billed hours by tempo categories/customers/accounts in a predefined period of time (Q1,Q2,Q3,Q4, business year...)

Define several sets of non working days
When you have users working in different countries, you need to register several sets of working days and then assign one configuration to each user.

Planning based on estimated time for user/version combination
I've just reviewed the Tempo plugin within JIRA and find it's the closest match to our desired reporting functionality.
The only problem is related to the way planning works. When doing resource planning it would be great if assigning a user to a project's version will automatically add the number of hours either to the user of either the estimated times for all issues related to the version or all issues related to the version which has been assigned to the user.

default billing key for project with multiply Billing Keys
Hello,
when project has more than one Billing Key it would be nice to have one Default from them.
I have IT support project, enforced Billing Key field. Two billing keys : ITSD; Jira support , etc.
So users have to select one from list.it would be nice to have one Default from them.

Can I set flexible billing periods?
We use a 4-4-5 accounting schedule. This means our accounting periods end on different days of each month. So, we need to set start/end dates for each billing period.

More access to worklog attributes
We need to be able to edit custom worklog attributes everywhere Tempo worklogs can be edited. Currently, attributes can only be edited/viewed when creating a worklog or on the worklog report screen.

Worklog attributes can be edited in all places that worklogs are editable except the inline editing in the cell view

We have planned to improve this and add the inline editing also
